Leonard Yui’s scholarly work intersects architecture, ecology and landscape to inspire design thinking and change. Topics of interest include environmental education, visual & digital representation, material infrastructures, habitat change, sea level rise, & environmental/climate justice.
Notable awards include the Hassenfeld Faculty Fellow for community engagement, and a Hatfield foundation grant for a design-research study on climate change and historical landscapes. His works have been widely published and presented at numerous international peer-reviewed conferences and publications in landscape architecture, architecture and planning.
